Artist's Description

This little guy was shy, but I waited for him to become more comfortable with me being there. It was only a slight drizzle, and a realy neat fellow photo/bird buff came over and we talked about how more and more migrating birds have been showing up. He liked my camera too! yeah.

Laura Mountainspring

I live in the great state of Oregon. We have mountains and oceans and all sorts of open spaces. I learned the love of photography from my dad, who free-lanced for many years. He encouraged me with equipment and comments. I shoot weddings, portraits and what ever I can. I learned to stop shooting for the judges who all wanted sharp focus all the way through, and returned to my love of selective focus. I know the times to have sharp focus and when soft focus is prefered. As the mom and step mom of 8 children, I created an enviromet with ample photographing niches all around. I planted for birds and butterflies, and keep peafowl and such. Most of my kids are old enough for me to travel more, so I can do some new things ! I teach youth in my...
