ok, ok, now i think I am getting this down... this lovely flamingo resides at Oregon's wildlife safari, they have a short fence allowing for some closer shots. a nice cloudy day and my telphoto lense and I am happy.

I live in the great state of Oregon. We have mountains and oceans and all sorts of open spaces. I learned the love of photography from my dad, who free-lanced for many years. He encouraged me with equipment and comments. I shoot weddings, portraits and what ever I can. I learned to stop shooting for the judges who all wanted sharp focus all the way through, and returned to my love of selective focus. I know the times to have sharp focus and when soft focus is prefered. As the mom and step mom of 8 children, I created an enviromet with ample photographing niches all around.
